Washington, DC, 2002 — Communications Resource Inc. (CRI), a national provider of technology, security, and business solutions, recently received the 2002 Woman-Owned Business Contractor of the Year award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), for outstanding execution of Security Consulting support services and exemplary performance in developing technology solutions. The award was presented by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) at the recently held Small Business Awards Ceremony in Washington, DC.
CRI has worked with USDA to develop their security consulting program by conducting physical security assessments at facilities across the country. CRI has been supporting USDA agency modernization objectives since January 2001 through a variety of projects including system security audits, web site design and development, technical performance monitoring, and data modeling of enterprise procurement systems. CRI also successfully completed the procurement, installation, and coordination of security measures at over 18 facilities in the Salt Lake City, UT area for the 2002 Winter Olympics, ahead of schedule and under budget.
Since 1994, CRI has been serving federal, state, and local government customers nationwide, with offerings that include advanced technology solutions, data management, and security consulting services in addition to computer hardware, software, and peripherals from over a thousand manufacturers. “The CRI focus on good customer communication and tested methodologies to scope, design, and implementation of complex solutions is the key to our success,” said Johnson at the recent awards ceremony.
