CRI Provides Fast-Track Security Install For Curio Wellness
Updated: Jan 11
McLean, Virginia – December 2017 – Communications Resource, Inc. (CRI), a full-service physical security technology leader specializing in enterprise level electronic security integration on a national level, has announced the successful security systems installation at a state-of-the-art, 90,000 square foot medical cannabis growing facility in Maryland. The State of Maryland regulatory requirements for security represented 25% of the overall decision in formulating which companies would be granted a license to grow medical marijuana.
Our client, Curio Wellness cultivates and processes premium medical cannabis for Marylanders. CRI provided design services and subject matter expertise in assisting Curio with the application to the state. Only 15 companies were selected out of over 102 applicants to be cannabis growers. Subsequently, CRI designed and installed an integrated security system in accordance with the state regulations that included integrated access control, CCTV and intrusion detection systems. With CRI’s commitment to schedule and design integrity, Curio Wellness passed their inspections by the Maryland State Regulators, making them the first grow facility in Maryland.
Victoria Johnson, CRI President and CEO, states, “Our top-notch security design and installation team is credited with this outstanding accomplishment. Due to our team’s expertise, Curio Wellness received a no delay state approval allowing them to open this facility in short order.”
